Rooted Rhythms: Creating Space for Women to Reconnect

At Thudippu, we believe that meaningful spaces have the power to bring people together not just to learn or create, but to pause, reflect, and reconnect with themselves and each other.
Today, we had the privilege of hosting the first edition of Rooted Rhythms, a monthly women's movement circle facilitated by Devika Murali, Psychologist and Dance Movement Therapy Practitioner. The gathering welcomed women into a safe and nurturing environment where movement became a tool for presence, self-expression, and connection.
Through guided exploration, free movement, reflection, and rest, participants were invited to step away from the demands of everyday life and tune into their bodies with curiosity and care. The session reminded us that movement does not always need a destination it can simply be a way of listening, feeling, and being.
As a community space, Thudippu is committed to supporting initiatives that foster well-being, creativity, dialogue, and collective growth. Hosting Rooted Rhythms aligns deeply with our vision of creating opportunities for people to gather with intention and build meaningful connections.
We are grateful to Devika and all the women who joined us for making this first circle so warm and memorable. We look forward to seeing Rooted Rhythms grow into a recurring space where women can return each month to move, reflect, and reconnect.
